Aluminum and Glass Door Systems
Aluminum and glass door systems consist of aluminum frames (the frame form of aluminum profiles), door glass, door handles, hinges, locks, seals, and similar accessories. They come in various models, including sliding doors, rail doors, double-opening doors, folding doors, aluminum panel doors, and doors with vents. In recent years, applying film coating to glass doors has also become a popular choice.
Particularly suitable for office building entrances, shop doors, storefronts, garden and balcony doors, restroom doors, and fly screens, the manufacturing-to-installation processes of aluminum and glass door systems generally involve three steps: (1) aluminum frames and accessories to be used for the doors are produced by the primary factory; (2) aluminum profiles are processed into ready-to-use frames by firms like ours that specialize in final product manufacturing; (3) with the integration of the necessary glass, the door systems are prepared for final use and installed on-site by firms like ours that carry out the application.
The door bottom sweep, threshold profile, casing, jamb, and door frame (frame profile) to be used in aluminum and glass door systems are also provided to us by door and window profile manufacturers. If applicable, automatic mechanisms and hydraulic systems, tracks (rails) for sliding doors, flush handles, air sealing strips (or insulation tape), safety locks, electronic locks (if any), padlocks, and other accessories and additional security systems are installed by us. The entire mechanism of the door systems is also adjusted by firms specializing in aluminum and glass doors.
At Üçgen Alüminyum, we have been recommending the use of aluminum over PVC in door systems for years. Aluminum materials should be preferred in commercial and modern applications with large glass sizes due to their ability to carry large glass panels, their long lifespan, ease of cleaning, and the modern aesthetic they bring to decoration. Naturally, their unit weight (m² weight) and prices will be slightly higher.
